Keeping Records

Keeping Records:
Increasingly, tenant and certain tenant’s rights law firms are making false allegations against landlords in the hope of intimidating them into settlement. Combat false claims by keeping good records of move-in condition, insisting in the contract that repair requests be in writing, and by responding promptly to all service requests. Landlords who follow these steps will have faster and more affordable cases, and will insulate themselves more from liability from false claims and fraud.
